Who we are

Wonderful Outdoor Week is a great initiative for promoting open air tourism in the mountains, hills and plains of the Province of Cuneo, in stunning unspoilt landscapes from the Alps to the Langhe.

The project is promoted, financed and managed by a committee made up of the  Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Cuneo, by the local tourist offices (ATL) in Cuneo and Langhe Roero and by the chamber of commerce CCIAA Cuneo.

Activities include the International Outdoor Tourism Exchange (20 June 2016 in Canale), targeted communication through educational events, web campaigns and participation at international events and promotion of sporting events for all tastes: from families to ultra-trail races, from e-bike hire to gran fondo cycling, taking in hiking, climbing, river sports and motorcycle touring along the way.

Langhe and Roero

The Langhe and Roero scenery is a constant source of amazement, it has the simple but unique quality of being a day to day source of wonder.
This same wonder has made it a candidate to be a UNESCO world heritage site.  Like all enchanted places, the Langhe and Roero areas have become more than just geographical scenery.
They have become cultural laboratories, a melting pot of dreams and metaphors where the values of tradition have fused with the landscape.
This is the charm of Langhe and Roero, the magic of the past echoing in the present, in its castles, in the hundred towers of Alba Pompeia, where the wonder of everyday life shines through like the glow of bonfire on a hilltop.

Cuneo area

The extraordinary scenery of the arc of the southwest Alps encloses a special corner: the Province of Cuneo.

A province forgotten by the main lines of communication, Cuneo’s past isolation has become its strength, being off the beaten track has preserved the territory. Here, absolutely unique niche products have developed, offering – over a short distance – a wealth of surprises to tickle every palate.
