On 24th September, the 6th edition of the MOSCATO TRAIL runs through S. STEFANO BELBO (birthplace of Cesare Pavese) COSSANO BELBO and CASTIGLIONE TINELLA in the province of Cuneo. An event within the sport of Trail Running that unwinds through the amazing, rugged hills of Langhe del Moscato, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The aim is also to develop these splendid areas (described by Cesare Pavese in his books) from a sports point of view, in order to develop a synergy between these competitions and the tourism, commercial and cultural activities of the region. A region that is “still wild, albeit transformed by man” with optimal gradients for these kinds of sporting competition.
The Event features three Trail running races of 52 km – 21 km – 10 km ( not on asphalt but on paths, cart and dirt tracks through vineyards, woods and small villages), two Nordic Walks of 21 km and 10 km , a 2 km junior play-course for children up to 13 years old and an Enogastronomic Walk through the vineyards and Agri-tourism farms.
